Post-Secondary Resources

There is so much to think about when you are getting ready to apply for post secondary school, but for homeschoolers there’s even more things to think about. Here are some of my favourite helpful sites to prepare homeschoolers for their future and university.

Khan Academy: Not only is Khan Academy as a great educational resource but it also has a great preparation for university section. There are many pages of Khan Academy’s website that talk about how you can prepare for university and college.

Homeschool Diploma: There are plenty of websites that can help you get your high school diploma, if you did not get one from a conventional school. Go check out highschooldiploma.com for more information on homeschool graduations, and how to get your high school diploma.

HSLDA: The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is all about helping homeschoolers from all around, so of course they have a section on their website about helping homeschoolers get into college. They are there to help you through your journey of getting into college.

Myblueprint: Myblueprint is a Canadian educational planning website that is designed to help students find their career path. The website is full of useful information and has a whole post secondary section that helps you choose the perfect college to go to based on your interests.

Times Higher Education: Times higher education is a website that has tons of information about all of the universities around the world. They also have rankings for the best overall universities in the world, and the best universities for certain topics, which gets updated all the time.

Scholarships for homeschoolers: Homeschoolers can get regular scholarships from the universities they apply to, but you can also find scholarships just for homeschoolers. Bright Ideas Press gives out two $2,000 scholarships each year. Depending on where you are there might be scholarships in your location so it’s worth looking it up.
