Learning Resources

If you are a homeschooler looking for an educational source of some sort here are my favourite websites to go to, to learn.

Khan Academy: This is one of the most common educational site for homeschoolers. Khan Academy is free and has science, math, engineering, arts and humanities classes. Khan Academy even has college and university preparation section, and test preps. These things are very useful to homeschoolers, and Khan Academy is visual learning, with mainly videos.

Duolingo: Being one of the most common language learning apps, Duolingo teaches 94 languages in 23 languages. The most common language to learn on Duolingo is Spanish. You can set a minimum amount of time you want to spend on duolingo each day, which can range from 5 to 30 mins, to keep learning the language you started.

Ted Ed: Ted Ed is an interesting website that basses lessons off TED talks. You and your kid can discover hundreds of lessons on their website. It is definitely worth checking out.

Adobe: If your kid is interested in anything techie adobe is the best way to learn about photo editing, online creative design, video editing, illustrating, and a lot more creative things. I have the photography plan, and I love it!

Bright Ideas Press: This is a company with full sets of homeschool curriculum and books for geography, history and humanities. Bright Ideas Press was created by homeschooled parents, so they know what they’re doing. They publish easy to use and affordable curriculum, and you can buy books or do classes online.

Write Shop: The Write Shop is homeschool writing curriculum for grades K-12. They teach your young kids how to do basic reading and writing, and for older kids you learn detailed compositions and essays.
